Obit for Bob Westfall

Robert E. Westfall, age 74, of The Villages, FL and formerly of Newburgh, NY passed away on July 28, 2021 at Hospice House. Beloved husband of Diane Pullaro, and the late Leslie. Preceded in death by his father Meredith, mother Violet, and brother Steven.
Bob was born on January 28, 1947 in Newburgh, NY where he lived most of his life. After graduating from high school where he participated in speed skating, track, and football, he joined the Army, spending two years with the First Calvary Division in Viet Nam where he received several medals including the Purple Heart. He was a life member of most military organizations, but most proud of being a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
After his release from the army, he went to work for New York Telephone Company which eventually became Verizon when he retired in 2002. Bob enjoyed golfing, painting, drawing, telling stories, and traveling throughout the world.
Bob is also survived by his son Michael Westfall (Debbie), daughter Erin Westfall, sister Pat Crawford (Kevin), brother Fred Westfall, step-sons Bill, Brian, and Matt Pullaro, his seven wonderful grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Carolyn, Christian, Sydney, Maelie, and Grayson, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baldwin Bros. Funeral Home in Spanish Springs, The Villages (next to Belk’s Dept. Store) on Thursday, August 19th from 2-4 PM. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, HWY 42, Summerfield on Friday, August 20th at 10 AM.
A Celebration of Life will again be celebrated on, Thursday, August 26th at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh, followed the next day with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery alongside his late wife Leslie.
