Message: Francis T. Cunningham, Class of 1934, On July 22, 2010 of Dementia at River Oaks Assisted Living, Englewood, FL. Born December 21, 1916 in Newburgh, NY. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1934 (See Camera Shy). Until he retired in 1979 he resided in DC and MD for 40 years. Surviving are his daughters, Gertrude C. Bushey of Brookeville, MD and Alice Teresa Moore of Sarasota, FL; his granddaughter, Teresa Ann Ayers of North Port, FL whom he raised, six additional grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Alice Teresa Cunningham; his second wife, Rita Wheatley Cunningham; his sons, John H. Cunningham and F. Thomas Cunningham; and his younger siblings, David Cunningham, William Cunningham, and Mary Obermeyer. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter''s Church, Olney, MD, on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
