  Ruth Adams Gowdey "Ruthie" - Class of 1949, has passed. Ruth and her husband George Gowdey passed away within 6 months of each other on 7/15/2020 and 1/12/2021. They were living in Ocala Fl.   Adams, John W. "Jack" Class of 1948, of Accord, N.Y. a Sheet Metal Worker, died June 16, 2004 at Ellenville Hospital. He was 74. Son of Elvin Adams and Anna Mae Fredericks, both deceased, he was born February 4, 1930 in Cornwall, NY. He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Ellenville and a Sheet Metal Worker for Local # 38, Brewster, NY. Survivors include his sons: Gary and wife Anne Adams of Accord, NY and James and wife Mary Adams of New Hampton,NY; brother, Roy Adams of Newburgh; sisters: Helen Foster of Gloversville, NY and Ruth Gowdy of Ocala, FL; grandchildren: Heather Adams and Fiancee Joseph Martelli, David Adams, Kelly and husband Michael Grant, Michelle Adams and Sarah Adams; one great grandchild, Jocelyn Grant, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Thorne Adams. The funeral will be held at the DiDonato Funeral Home, Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place June 19, 2004 in the Fostertown Cemetery Located at Newburgh, NY. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by The DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc., 1290 Rt 9W, Marlboro, NY

  Adams, Edna "Midge" Giangrasso, Class of 1953, of Highland, N.Y. a bookkeeper for Effron-Meenan Fuel Oil in Poughkeepsie, retired since 1998, and a longtime resident of Highland, formerly of Newburgh, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Vassar Brothers Hospital. She was 67. The daughter of Elvin R. Adams and Anna May Fredericks, she was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Newburgh. She was married to Prospero ("Gin" Giangrasso Jr. on Sept. 2, 1956, at St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh. He predeceased her on May 5, 2000. A Graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, she was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Highland. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Morales of Highland, Susan Weiss of Marlboro and Diana Sroka of Auburn, N.Y; one son, James Giangrasso of Highland; two sisters, Ruth Gowdy of New Windsor and Helen Foster of Gloversville, N.Y; two brothers, John "Jack" Adams of Accord and Roy Adams of Newburgh; 11 grandchildren; and 19 nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Elvin Adams and Charles Adams. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 38 Main St., Highland. A gathering will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Highland. Burial will be in Lloyd Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, Md. 20852. Arrangements are under the direction of the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., Highland.
