Franklin J. Miller, Class of June 1930
Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 52 <GrammyPGH@aol.com> on 09/Jul/2009 Message: Franklin J. "Beef" Miller of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on September 14, 2008, at his residence. Son of the late J. Joseph and Emma Reiger Miller, he was born in Newburgh, NY on December 17, 1912. Beef was an avid golfer and longtime employee of the DuPont Co. in Newburgh. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he proudly served in World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Proctor Miller in 1985. His is survived by one sister, E. Marie Donnelly of Port Charlotte, FL and three nieces and one nephew, Barbara (Robert) Miller of Newburgh, Joseph (Helaine) Hemingway of Canandaigua, NY, Barbara (Steve) Dietrich of Fredericksburg, VA, Susan Miller of Newburgh and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
