Brian A. Luongo - Class of 1984

     Brian A. Luongo of Port Jervis, NY and a long time resident of the area died unexpectedly Monday, September 9, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 47. Brian was born January 5, 1966 in Bronx, NY the son of the late Carmine and Norma Giaquinto Luongo. He was a 1984 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Newburgh, NY. Brian worked as a Trackman for the MTA in New York City. He also assisted in the September 11, 2001 rescue efforts when he was working with the MTA. A family statement read: "Brian was a loving Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and best friend to all of us. Brian's favorite team was the New York Yankees. He was known for his jokes and kept the family laughing. He recently got a tattoo that said "All or Nothing" the same tattoo as his daughter. He said this was a family tradition. He will be greatly missed especially his generosity that knew no limits. He was always giving to charities and enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. Brian will always be in our hearts and we will remember all the good memories he left with us. We love you Dad and you were always our Uncle Brian and always there for us." Surviving are Mother: Norma Luongo of New Windsor, NY; Daughter: Erica Faracca and her companion Cassandra of Wappingers Falls, NY and Erica's Mother Gina Legagneux and Erica's siblings Paul Legagneux, Jr., Gianna Legagneux, God Daughter, Jessica Legagneux, Frankie Montiero, Jr. and Marissa Montiero; Son: Giovanni Luongo and his mother JoAnne Klimkiewicz of Port Jervis, NY; Sister: Donna McNamara of New Windsor, NY; 3 Nephews: Shaun, Keith & Danny; 1 Niece: Brittany; Pre Deceased Son: Anthony Luongo. Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held at Saturday at 11:00 AM from Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
