Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 14/Mar/2014 Paul Thomas Calli entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2014 at Hackensack University Medical Center. The son of John D. Calli and Donna E. (DeVoti) Calli of Newburgh, NY, he was born November 25, 1972. Paul was a 1991 Newburgh Free Academy graduate. He was a Telecommunications Engineer, the owner and operator of Pinnacle Telecom Services, and held several major accounts in NYC for over 20 years. Paul was an amazing individual. He was a hardworking, kind, generous man who loved his family and friends to the fullest. From a very young age Paul was an avid car lover and took great pleasure in putting his special touch into detailing. His love for his two nieces was immeasurable, and he loved spending quality time with them. They were his world and he was and always will be their Uncle Paulie. He was a friend to anyone in need, and touched the hearts of everyone he met. Paul truly had a heart of gold. A family statement reads: "Paul was a compassionate and caring man who loved and accepted everyone. He was loved by many and will forever remain in our hearts." Survivors include his mother and father of Newburgh, NY; sister, Jolyn Calli McCarthy and her husband Ralph of Newburgh, NY; his nieces Alexandria Grace and Emma Elizabeth McCarthy of Newburgh, NY; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Primo (Jack) and Sylvia DeVoti; paternal grandparents Joseph and Shirley Calli; and aunt Gloria DeVoti Sprague. Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm on Sunday, March 16 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 17 in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, with entombment following in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Paul's great love for his nieces Allie and Emma, a fund is being set up in their names.
