Kelley R. Pelkey of Newburgh entered into rest on June 28 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh. He was 62 years old. The son of the late Thomas and Carolyn (Kelley) Pelkey, Kelley was born on July 1, 1951 in Lincoln, Maine. Kelley passed away peacefully. He was relaxed and content. He is the strongest man we’ve ever known. We will miss his smile, his wit, his fragrance of Irish Spring and Old Spice, and his unwavering, unconditional love. Grandpa Kelley is survived by his daughter and best friend Brianna (Pelkey) Gilman and her husband Steven and their children, Evelyn and David. A private memorial service will be held. Kelley’s ashes will be returned to Maine, the place he loved most.
