James A. Yannone, Sr. - Class of 1965

     James A. Yannone, Sr., age 67, of Hawley, PA and formerly of Newburgh, NY died Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Mr. Yannone, Sr. was born March 30, 1947 in Newburgh, NY and was the son of the late Dominic and Dorothy (Forsythe) Yannone. He served in the Army and worked as a research technician for Texaco for 36 years and six years with Royal Dutch Shell where he was known as "Chief".James loved NASCAR, politics and history and watched Prospectors on the Discovery Channel and collected Texaco memorabilia. He is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (Miller) Yannone, son and daughter-in-law, James Jr. and Andrea Yannone of New Windsor, NY; step daughter, Regina and John Besaw of Middletown, NY; step son, Eric and Lynne Hogencamp of Erie, PA; two sisters: Joan Livingston and Gerald G. Uespie of New Windsor, NY and Doreen and Robert Kennedy of Camden, MT and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel , PA. Memorial contributions in James' name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
