Kenneth G. Bowen - Class of 1968

       Kenneth G. Bowen, a retired shipping clerk for AMSCAN, entered into rest Sunday, July 20, 2014 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, surrounded by his family. He was 64. He was the son of the late Bernard and Gertrude Schoonmaker Bowen. Ken was born January 15, 1950 in Newburgh. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp in Vietnam and was an avid sports fan. Survivors include his wife, Linda E. Bowen, at home; a daughter, Erica L. Bowen; his brother, Jeffery Bowen; grandchildren: Kylie M. Johnson, Alyssa L. Lopez, Shayne A. Lopez, Andrew M. and Isabella L. Kinsley. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Lopez. Memorial Visitation will take place Thursday, July 24th from 6 to 8 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte. 32), Town of Newburgh. A Memorial Service will commence at 8 p.m. following visitation. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
