Edward F. "Bud" Dillon, Jr. - Class of June 1939

      Edward F. "Bud" Dillon, Jr. of Syracuse, died Sunday, August 17 at Upstate University Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Newburgh, NY, Bud lived in the Syracuse area since 1975. Bud was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a B-24 pilot during WWII Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth in 1996 and his daughter, Ann in 2006. Bud is survived by his son, Joseph (Marijane) Dillon of Erie, PA; two grandchildren, Paul "PJ" Dillon and Rachel (Patrick) Morey and a brother, Father Richard Dillon of New York City. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home, 3175 East Genesee St, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church, 4112 East Genesee St., DeWitt. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
