Edith A. Crispell Earley - Class of 1952

    Edith A. Crispell Earley, of Newburgh, a retired teacher's aide from BOCES in East Coldenham and longtime area resident, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2014 at St. Luke's/Cornwall Hospital-Newburgh Campus. She was 80. Edith was the daughter of the late William and Lydia (Heppner) Crispell, and was born on April 2, 1934 in High Falls, NY. Edith is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Francis Earley and her sister, Doris Bonnett. She is also survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Cathy and Glen Cross of Liberty, NY, Jo Ann and Jim Ritterbusch of Bethel, CT, and Diana and John Dickson of Montgomery, NY. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Courtney, Gary, Brandon, and Taylor, as well as her great granddaughter, Kaley. Edith is predeceased by her brother, William Crispell Jr, and sisters; Virgina Koch and Geraldine (Dolly) Powell. Edith's greatest joy was spending time with her family. Whether it was traveling, vacations together or just Sunday dinner, she was happiest when everyone was together. Visitation for family and friends will take place, today, Sunday, October 5th, from 1 to 5 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte 32), Newburgh. A prayer service will take place at 5 p.m. with Rev. Ernie Mossl officiating. Cremation will take place Monday, Oct. 6th at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Inurnment will take place at a time convenient to the family at Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
