Paul C. "Ike" Lobdell - Class of 1950

     Paul C. "Ike" Lobdell, 82 of Marlboro, NY and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 5, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Paul was born on July 17, 1932 in Newburgh, NY. He was the son of the late Paul Keith & Elizabeth Matthews Lobdell. He married Mary Ann Kane on June 30, 1954. Paul was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Paul was employed and a life member of the Iron Worker Union Local 417, Newburgh, NY before his retirement in 1992. Paul loved his family, his country and Johnny Cash, and was an avid New York Giants Fan. Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Ann at home, 4 sons, Paul Patrick and his wife Donna of Milton, Brett and his wife AnnMarie of Clintondale, Scott and his companion Amber of Los Angeles, CA and Gregory and his wife Anna of Milton, 3 daughters, Catherine and her husband Bob Lana of Milton, Jodi "Jace" and her husband Dave Bulson of Milton, Karen and her husband Micheal West of Milton, 22 Grandchildren; Joey & Kate, Johna, Paul, Chris & Denise, Brett, Jordan, Allie & Steve, Patrick, Kael, Sara, Audrey, Haley, Sydney, Jenna, Nicole & Joe, Brittany, Kady, Carly, Richele & Vito, David, Dina, Bubba, Jaye, Holden, 6 Great Grandchildren; Hannah, Ella, Giovanni, Vito, Laurenza, Lia and many nieces and nephews. Paul we predeceased by his son in law, Joseph Polumbo and 2 sisters, Gertrude Becker & Pauline Carpenter. Paul died the same way he lived his life, surrounded by the love of his family in his home. On behalf of Paul, his family would like to thank everyone who took part in his care, among them the doctors and staff at Saint Francis, Will Care, Castle Point HV VA, Hospice, his cousin Vivian Thain and also the loving care of his niece Donna Giametta RN. He would be the first to tell you he was the happiest and luckiest man on earth. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday morning at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro with Father Tom Dicks officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O.
