Alberta Evans, of Newburgh, died on October 30, 2014 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh. She was 69 years of age. Alberta was born June 20, 1945 in Niagara, NC , daughter of the late Ulee and Clara (Hill) Evans. She graduated high school and went on to college to study business before becoming a Personal Care Aide for WellCare. Survivors include her children, Natasha, Sonya and Tanya Evans, all of Newburgh; her siblings, Jannie and Joe Louis Evans; grandchildren, Teresa and Tara Bryant of Oneonta, NY, Anita and Terinace Bryant, and Asia, Anthony and Ahmir Evans, all of Newburgh; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive their friends from 12-1 pm on Thursday, November 6 at Newburgh Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist Church, 251 Grand St., Newburgh, with a service following at 1pm.
