       Richard E. Feldt, of the Town of Plattekill, a retired bartender for Ramada Inn in Newburgh entered into rest Sunday, November 23, 2014 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 78. The son of the late Maurice and Mabel Edler Feldt, Richard was born October 23, 1936 in Newburgh. Richard proudly served is country in the US Army Reserves, and was a devoted baseball fan. Survivors include his sister, Janet Polao of Safety Harbor, Fl, and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his brothers; Robert Feldt and Raymond Briscoe. There will be no public visitation. Graveside service will take place, 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rte. 9W, Newburgh. Pastor Steve Sherwood will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Richard's memory to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
