Laura Ann Bertero Capitano - Class of 1974

  Laura Ann Bertero Capitano, born March 18, 1957 entered into rest on December 27, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of Lillian and Richard Bertero, of New Windsor, NY. Laurie was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She worked as a secretary at West Point and then was a waitress at Perkins and the Colonial Diner in Middletown, NY for several years. Laurie later was an employee of the Mid - City Transit bus company for ten years as a driver. She loved to travel and take vacations. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her two children and her three dogs and cat. Laurie was a kind hearted and loving person. She was loved by many, especially her family and will be deeply missed. Surviving are her two children: daughter, Alexis Capitano and son, Trever Capitano, both of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Port Jervis, NY; her mother, Lillian Bertero of New Windsor, NY, siblings: Debra Marotta of New Windsor, NY, Stephen Bertero of Wappingers Falls, NY and Aimee Bertero of Cornwall, NY. She had many nieces and nephews from New York, Pennsylvania and California. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Bertero in 2012. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30th at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday; the time is to be announced. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in New Windsor, NY.
