Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 10/Jan/2015 Message: Frederick R. Farrell, Jr., "Fred" a lifelong area resident died suddenly on January 2, 2015. He was 69.He graduated NFA in 1963. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and Sr. Vice Commander to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).Fred served on the USS Prowess, USS Miller, and USS Raymond. He owned several car repair/body shops in the area and was well known for his expertise with cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. Fred could fix "anything". He lived his life his way - to the fullest. Surviving are his son, Fred, and sisters: Patricia Damanda, Theresa Ingwersen, and Dawne Farenga, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a good friend, Al Crudele. Thanks go to longtime friends: John Walsh, Sr., Butch Crudele, and Bob Bruno. A Memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), T.D. Peterkin Memorial Chapter 152, 30 Lawrence Ave., New Windsor, NY 12553.
