Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 14/Jan/2015 Message: Thomas Belknap Fullerton, 83 yrs. of age and a lifelong resident of Newburgh, NY passed away January 12, 2015, at Elant Nursing Home, Newburgh. He was born January 11, 1932 Newburgh, N.Y. to the late Thomas and Florence (Belknap) Fullerton. He is preceded in death by his sister Mary Helen Fullerton. Thomas graduated in 1949 from Newburgh Free Academy, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Shop-Rite Supermarket after 28 years of service where he was a clerk and Shop Steward; was a member of RCIU Local 1262; and was employed at the wine and spirits currently known as Big Value Wine and Spirits. He was a member of the American Legion Post 152 for over 50 years, and was an acolyte, usher, and active member at St. George's Episcopal Church of Newburgh, NY. During his retirement his hobbies were photography and traveling the world. He is survived by his brother Edmund F. Fullerton, nephew Edmund T. Fullerton (Jaclyn Fullerton), niece Jill Champ (nee) Fullerton (Kelly Champ), four grand nephews, Thomas Fullerton, Jonathon Champ, Trevor Champ, and Nicholas Champ, and grand niece Heather Fullerton. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, January 16 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 17 at St. George's Episcopal Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. Replies to this post No replies yet |
