Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 18/Jan/2015 Message: Marion “Gram” Drobner Dominick, a life-long resident of the Town of Newburgh, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh with her family by her side. She was 84. Daughter of the late Elizabeth and Isaac Drobner, she was born August 28, 1930. She married the late Vincent Dominick on September 23, 1951 in Grace Church, Newburgh. Vincent predeceased Marion in 2007. Marion served as Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Newburgh. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Newburgh. She loved the American flag, collecting egg cups, spending time at the Mohonk Mountain House, and traveling to New York City to see Broadway shows and dealing with the street vendors. Marion was certainly at peace with herself. A brave lady who was loyal to her friends and deeply devoted to her family. Her heart and personality always seemed to touch all that met her. She survived by her loving family, her daughter Susan Noll and her husband Jeffery of Newburgh; her son Vincent Dominick and his wife Angela of Newburgh; her son David Dominick; her grandchildren Walter Koury and his fiancé Nicole Malcolm, Phillip Koury and his fiancé Michele Pinkham, Krystina Noll and her significant other Jonathan Candal, and Briana Dominick; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Vincent, she was predeceased by her brothers, Samuel, Alexander and Louie Drobner, and her sisters, Lillian Laubenhimer and Rose Chessman. The family wishes to thank The Heart Center, Dr. John Portelli, his nurse Melissa, and his amazing staff. St. Luke’s Hospital 4th Floor staff Manager Rosa Keenan and her incredible nurses with a special thank you to Rachel for providing comfort and care to mom. We also wish to thank Jean Galita, Robin Nichols, Lucy Lingad, Noreen Mulligan, Joan Danek and Gydi Alvarez for their friendship, kindness and most of all the love they gave to Gram each and every day. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, January 19 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, January 20 at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Newburgh, with Father Fernando Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions on Marion’s behalf may be sent to the Town of Newburgh Emergency Medical Services, 97 S.
