      Elizabeth Gimbert Cannon, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 82 years of age. The daughter of the late John and Bertha Pecka Gimbert, she was born on February 20, 1932 in Newburgh, NY. Elizabeth has been a resident of Middletown since 1979 and previously lived in New Windsor and Newburgh. Elizabeth graduated with the Class of 1950 from Newburgh Free Academy. She retired from I.B.M. in East Fishkill, NY. Survivors include: her husband, Douglas E. Cannon at home in Middletown; her daughter, Marie A. Gross and husband, James of Plattekill, NY; her son, Fred Weibrecht Jr. and spouse, Steven Abbott of Woodridge, NY; four granddaughters, Crystal Solano and husband, Jeff, Leigh Weibrecht, Stephanie and Katie Gross; two great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved cat, Presley. Elizabeth was predeceased by her sister, Marie and her husband, George Mycek, and her children's father, Fred Weibrecht Sr. Funeral services and cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Middletown, 142 Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940.
