Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 08/Feb/2015 Message: Joseph Zmudzinski, of the Town of Newburgh, a lifetime resident of the area, entered into rest on Friday, February 6, 2015. He was 72. Son of the late Joseph and Loretta (Nazimek) Zmudzinski and the beloved step-son of Walter Leja, he was born January 5, 1943 in Newburgh. He married his cherished wife Frances (Greene) Zmudzinski on August 1, 1965 at St Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh. Joe was a deeply spiritual and hard working man. His family was his life's passion. He devoted himself wholly and selflessly to their well being and happiness. His daily acts of love, kindness and generosity are too numerous to recite and we cannot find words adequate enough to honor him. He crafted a remarkable life story with his adoring wife, children, and grandchildren, whose love for him is boundless. He will live on through his family - his greatest pride and accomplishment. Joe was a graduate of Marist College where he earned his BA in Chemistry. He was a Chemist for the IBM Corporation in East Fishkill, and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh. Survivors include his wife Frances at home; his children, Joseph Zmudzinski and his wife Laurie and their children Adam, Luke, and Leah; Robert Zmudzinski and his spouse Anne Marie Geary; Janet Coiteux and her husband Paul and their children Caitlin, Justin, and Claire; and his brother, Michael Leja. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Tuesday, February 10 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 11th at St Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh, with Father David Milliken officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, New Windsor. Replies to this post No replies yet |
