Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 07/Mar/2015 Message: Ruth Helen McVeigh Copeletti of New Windsor, NY passed away on Thursday, March 5,2015 at St. Lukes Hospital in Newburgh, NY after a short illness. She was 91. The daughter of the late Joseph McVeigh and Johanna Meyer of Newburgh, NY, Ruth was born on February 6,1924 in Troy, NY. Ruth was married to her loving husband, Anthony Thomas Copeletti on August 1,1948, who passed away on June 19,1990. She was one of the first students at South High and also attended NFA in Newburgh. Ruth was a Homemaker and worked for Big Scotts, as a housekeeper at Cornwall Hospital and for Quatro Knits in Newburgh, a riveter in Terry Town during WW II and at Stamwick Winding in New Windsor where she met her husband Anthony. She is survived by her two daughters, Eileen Thompson of New Windsor, NY and Bernadette and her husband Michael of Modena, NY. Two Sons, Mark Copeletti and Paul Copeletti of New Windsor, NY and Grandchildren, Kerry and Caitlin Hegarty, Steve Jr. and Bryan Thompson. And her Great-Grandchildren, Ryan, Bryan Robert and Jayden Thompson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8,2015 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 9,2015 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery New Windsor, NY.
