Frances A. Lynn Schorno - Class of 1946

  Frances A. Lynn Schorno cherished mother, beloved grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Born March 8, 1929 in Newburgh, NY, she was 86 years old. A consummate mother and homemaker, she was the heartbeat of the family with her quick wit, ready smile and contagious laughter. She leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter Fran Bennett (Chris) of Rock Tavern, sons Stephen Schorno (Joni) of New Windsor and James Schorno (Cindy) of Upper Saddle River, NJ; grandchildren, Daniel Bennett (Sara), Edmond Bennett (Tanya), Jessica Schorno, Stephanie Schorno, Shawn Schorno (Joseph); five great-grandchildren; her brother, William Lynn, sister Katheryne Munday; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frances was married for 45 years to Edmond J. Schorno who predeceased her in 1993. She was also predeceased by her sister Marion DeWitt. Memorial visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Wednesday, March 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newbugh. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care, comfort and compassion shown to our mother at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence.
