Toth Sloboda, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, NY, entered into eternal rest at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. She was 73 years old. The daughter of the late Julius and Alice (Rahemba) Toth, she was born on December, 11 1941. Marlene was a graduate of NFA in 1959, she was a lifelong member of Moulton Memorial Baptist Church where she was married on September 17, 1960 to the late Edward F. Sloboda, the love of her life. She was always speaking of the love she had for the Lord, as her grandfather, a Baptist Minister, did (whom she admired dearly). Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed by all. Marlene is survived by her children: Sheri Sloboda, Debra and her husband Dwayne Handley; her siblings: Beverly and her husband Steve Juracek, Lois and her husband Paul Gagliardi; her grandchildren: Meghan and her husband Christopher Esposito, Jillian Handley, Nichole Handley and her Fiance Thomas Joyce and James Handley; her great grandchild Paul A. Esposito; her nieces and nephews: Alicia Juracek, Stephen Juracek, Lori Gagliardi, Jamie and her husband Gabe O’Connell; her great nieces and nephews: Kaylee Juracek, Ryan and his wife Tasha Juracek, Ella, Grace and Juliet O’Connell. Along with many friends. Private services were held at Brooks Funeral Home, Newburgh, with a private burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY with immediate family and friends.
