Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 05/May/2015 Message: Sue Hill Gustafson Rogers, former owner of Cassidy’s Pharmacy and a lifelong resident of New Windsor, entered into rest on Monday, May 4, 2015 at home. She was 87. Daughter of the late Harold O. and Grace (Perkins) Hill, she was born April 20, 1928 in Newburgh. She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and Middlebury College. Sue (Gram) was a vibrant woman, maintaining her independence, sharp wit, and sense of humor until the end. She was an avid bridge player and a voracious reader. She kept her family entertained by her wonderful stories of growing up in Newburgh. Sue’s optimistic outlook was contagious to anyone she met. She will forever be missed. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Tudor and her husband Chuck of New Windsor, NY and Bruce Gustafson and his wife and Amy of West Hurley, NY; her grandchildren, Carla Chilton and her husband Pete, Benjamin Tudor, Katie Tudor and her fiancé Michael Holmes, Nissa Gustafson, and Isaac Gustafson; and great grandchild, Wes Chilton. She was predeceased by her husbands, Kenneth Gustafson and Howard Rogers, and her son, Roy Gustafson. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, May 7 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 8 at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. Replies to this post No replies yet |
