   George Forgit III peacefully entered into rest at Nyack Hospital, Nyack, NY on Monday, May 4, 2015. He was 60. George was born on August 15, 1954 in Newburgh, NY. He was the son of George J. Forgit II and Gloria Faella Ulrich. His father predeceased him. His mother survives. George was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired Recreation Director at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, Bedford Hills, NY. Survivors include his mother, Gloria Ulrich of Poughkeepsie, NY; step-mother, Gloria Forgit of Newburgh, NY; children: Amadeo G. Forgit and his wife, Melinda of Andover, KS, Joseph Forgit of Watertown, NY, Hope Rizzo of the Town of Newburgh, NY, Faith Nannini of the Town of Newburgh, NY, Christopher DeLauro and his wife, Danielle of the Town of Newburgh, NY; brother, Anthony Jannotti and his wife, Bonnie of Newburgh, NY; half-brother, Edward Forgit of Newburgh, NY; step-sister, Linda Lambert and her husband, Dennis of Albany, NY, step-brother, Tommy Watts and his wife, Barbara of Newburgh, NY; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his devoted care giver, Joanne Forgit of the Town of Newburgh, NY. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 8th at Engel Funeral Home, Inc., 5319 Rt. 9W, (Middlehope) Newburgh, NY. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in George's memory to the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Dr., New Windsor, NY. 12553. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Robert C.
