After a courageous six-year battle with Thymic Carcinoma. He is survived by his wife Mary Hope (nee Lemon) of 27 years, his sons Vincent Steven and Thomas Victor Rappa, Additionally, he is survived by his mother Adriana Amelia Rappa, his sister Mary Jean Mumford (Warren), nephew Lucas Mumford, sister in law Myrtle Rappa (nee Chang), and Niece Adriana Rappa. His father Peter Vincent Rappa, his brother Peter Rappa, and his nephew Timothy Mumford predeceased him. Victor was born October 8, 1952 in upstate New York and moved to Southern California in 1973 to attend college. . In 1978 he graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.S. in Accounting. That year, Victor embarked on a successful 38 year career as a Tax Executive for several global media companies in Los Angeles, and then relocated to Greenwich, Connecticut in 1994 to continue his career in mid-town Manhattan. Victor was happiest when he was with his family, taking great pleasure in walking with his sons each year on their first day of school. He volunteered for the GYFL Generals Football, and was affectionately known as a member of the team’s “Chain Gang”. He also coached GBA games for many years and always brought his teams to victory A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Catherine’s. of Siena Catholic Church in Riverside, CT on Wednesday April 22, 2015 (Earth Day) at 10:00am.
