Lynn L. Stevens Viebrock, 62, of Fly Creek died Monday, May 18th at her home. Born October 1, 1952 in Newburgh, Lynn was the daughter of Elmer G. and Edith L. (Smith) Stevens, Sr. She was raised in the Newburgh area, graduating from Newburgh Free Academy in the Class of 1970. She was married to Ronald Viebrock who predeceased her in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Chris) Grady of Cooperstown, and their children: Beckett and Asher. She is also survived by her mother, Edith Graziano and step-father, Lou, of Newburgh; two brothers: Jack Stevens of Newburgh and Elmer "Steve" (Lori) Stevens of Campbell Hall, NY. Lynn was a very private, independent and self-reliant woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family and, following her husband's death, she moved from the Wallkill area to Fly Creek in 2008 to be near her daughter and grandchildren. Affectionately called "Oma", she especially enjoyed spending time with and babysitting for her grandchildren. She was a knowledgeable and avid reader of history, a wonderful seamstress, she enjoyed flower gardening, designing and creating unusual, beautiful and artistic jewelry, and visiting museums and historical locations. She was comforted by and often expressed her gratitude and pleasure with the loyal group of local friends and loved ones who have, and will in her absence, provide a warm and loving support system for her daughter and family. In accordance with her wishes there will be no services and her burial in the Krumville Cemetery, Krumville, NY, next to her husband, will be private. For those who so desire, the family suggests donations in Lynn's memory to either the Cooperstown Food Bank, 25 Church Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326 or to the Susquehanna Animal Shelter, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Arrangements are under the guidance of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown.
