Walter graduated from Pine Bush High School, from SUNY Binghamton in 1963, and earned a Master's Degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University in 1965. He served his country in the NYS Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971. Walter became an English teacher and taught at Erasmus Hall High School, New York, NY for 1 1/2 years. He then taught at NFA in Newburgh, NY from 1971 to 2003, where he directed several plays and musicals. He was an avid golfer and reader. He excelled in his knowledge of World War II, and loved old movies, especially the film noir genre. The son of the late Louis and Mary Bajan, he was born on October 22, 1940 in New York, NY. He was married to Nicolette (Sgarlata) Bajan for 32 years. Survivors include his wife, Nicki; son, Mark Bajan and his wife, Miyuki; two grandchildren, Mia and Mari Bajan; step-son, Colin Morgan; one sister, Mary and her husband, Vinny Palazzo; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at St. Vincent dePaul Church, 101 St. Vincent Drive, Milford, PA on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Memorial Mass will follow at the St. Vincent dePaul Church with the Reverend Paul Mullen officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a Humane Society of donors choice. Replies to this post No replies yet |
