    Clarence William Scheer, Jr., 74, of Hagerstown, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center. Born March 15, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Clarence William Scheer, Sr. and Kathryn Lamberson. Clarence was a 1959 graduate of Newburgh High School, in Newburgh, New York. He retired after 35 years as an executive with Sears Roebuck & Co. Clarence was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown. He enjoyed golf; all things that had to do with cars; the KC Drag Racing Team; and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Katherine June (Davis) Scheer; a daughter, April Wall and her husband Jon of Columbia, MD; two sons, Keith Scheer and wife Amie of Hagerstown, Kevin Scheer and partner Susie Mencher of Gettysburg, PA.; a brother, David Scheer of Newburgh, NY; five grandchildren, Aaron Wall, Sarah Kate Wall, Brieanna Scheer, Cayla Scheer, Ryley Scheer; two step grandchildren, Eli OhEithir and Amelia OhEithir; other extended family and many, many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Richard A. Kroll officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Fellowship and refreshments will be offered back at church, following the burial. Friends will be received from 7-9pm on Wednesday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clarence's name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or REACH Cold Weather Shelter, 140 W. Franklin Street, Suite 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
