Eugene "Jack" Dewitt Bizzell - Class of 1968

    Eugene Dewitt Bizzell, AKA Jabbo-Jack, a life long resident of Newburgh, NY, entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was 64 years old. He was the son of the late Eugene L. Bizzell and Florence L. Henderson Bizzell, born on November 21, 1950. Eugene was educated in the public school system. He joined the Army and was honorably discharged. Eugene also attended Mt. St. Mary College and graduated in the class of 1980. He was employed at the United States Military Academy Cadet Mess at West Point for 24 years as a food service worker and inspector. Eugene leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Gelisa R. Bizzell; son, Eugene D. Bizzell, Jr.; one grandson, Malakhi; three sisters, Sandra Bizzell Hall of Beacon, NY, Patricia Bizzell Norman of Wappingers Falls, NY (Bennett) and Regina Bizzell of Newburgh, NY; one brother, Kurt L. Bizzell of Wappingers Falls, NY; six nieces; eight nephews; four great-nieces and ten great-nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Also special friends, Tommy Boykin and Hubert Givens. In addition to his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his brother, Paul E. Bizzell. Mr. Bizzell will lay in repose 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 76 First Street, Newburgh, NY. Rev. Dr. Bruce Davis Sr. will officiate. Service at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY. Professional service entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, 259 Walsh Ave., New Windsor, NY.
