Richard T. Bogardus - Class of 1957

    Richard T. Bogardus of New Windsor, NY, retired computer programmer for IBM entered into rest Monday, August 31, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh. He was 76 years old. The son of the late Thomas J. and Alice Kilpatrick Bogardus, Richard was born March 13, 1939 in Newburgh. He was a member of the New Windsor Seniors and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his children; Beth Castaldo and husband, Eric of the Town of Newburgh, Bradley Bogardus and wife, Maura of New City, NY, Craig Bogardus and partner, Hillary of Bloomberg, PA. Richard is also survived by his longtime partner, Theresa Earl of New Windsor and her children; his grandchildren: Kelcie, Evan, Carolyn, Kevin and his wife, Alison, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Burke, and sister, Karen Quinn. Visitation for family and friends will take place Monday, September 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd., Newburgh. Funeral Service will commence 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 15th at the funeral home. Minister Steve Sherwood will officiate. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Richard's memory to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
