Frank Jarvis "Judd" Lawson III - Class of June 1944

      Frank Jarvis "Judd" Lawson III, 1927-2015, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully Monday evening, June 22, 2015, with his wife and daughter by his side in Boca Raton, FL. Judd will be remembered as a devoted husband, dedicated father, talented salesman and friend to all. Judd was born in Newburgh, NY on July 15, 1927, to Frank J Lawson Jr. and Pauline Thayer Lawson at 151 Grand Street. He graduated from NFA (Class of 1944) and received his BA degree from Virginia Military Institute (VMI), in 1948, in Lexington, VA. He married Helen Claire Jacques, in Newburgh, on June 19, 1954. Judd was employed by The Reuben H. Donnelley Company, in Newburgh, NY, for 32 years and was the consummate salesman until his last days. He loved playing golf and bridge, cheering the Dolphins, stamp collecting, eating out with good friends, living next to the ocean, traveling far and wide, and his wife Helen. He retired full time to Boca Raton, FL in 1988. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 61 years, Helen (Boca Raton, FL), his children, Dr. Charles Lawson and his wife Mary (Poplar Bluff, MO), Cynthia LoCastro (Pflugerville, TX), and Nancy Lawson-Birk (Austin, TX), and six grandchildren, Allison Alt, Andrew Alt, Blake Lawson, Brooks Lawson, Sophia Birk and Simon Birk. He is preceded in death by his parents. Judd's final resting place is at the VA National Cemetery, South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
