Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 01/Oct/2015 Message: Jean Armour Gillespie, a retired bookkeeper for Pearl Appliance Company in Newburgh, longtime resident of Newburgh and recent resident of the Elant Nursing Home, died Friday, May 14, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was 93.The daughter of the late George and Sarah Jane Marshall Armour, she was born February 26, 1911 in Peterborough, Ontario Canada. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church and Rebecca Lodge for 70 years. She is the widow of John Gillespie who died April 14, 1970.Survivors include her daughters: Linda Mitchell and husband Ken of Newburgh and Heather Huber and husband Paul of Boulder, CO; granddaughter, Donna Stone of Schenectady, N.Y.; grandson, Daniel Huber of Longmont, CO; three great grandsons, one great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2004 from 9 to 11 a.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation at the funeral home. Rev. Dave Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
