Cosentino, of Newburgh, a Physician at Montefiore Medical Center, entered into rest on Monday, October 5, 2015. He was 69. The son of the late Luigi and Maria Carmela (Maiolino) Cosentino, he was born February 5, 1946 in Scalea, Italy. He married his loving wife Tina (Silva) Cosentino on July 29, 1978 in Rome, Italy. Tina survives at home. Raffaele was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Class of 1964; Marist College in 1968 earning his BA in Biology; and University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1985 earning his Medical Degree specializing in Pathology. He was a member of the American Medical Association and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. Raffaele was a dedicated physician and loving father, who instilled the love of learning to all those he encountered. Above all he was happiest when sharing his time with family and friends. His lasting legacy is the depths of his love which endures in those fortunate enough to have known him. In addition to his wife Tina, he is survived by his children, Louis Charles Cosentino and his wife Jill of Tuckahoe, NY, and Cristina Cosentino of Norwalk, CT; siblings, Laura Harth, Anna Ocana, Giuseppe Cosentino, and Carmelo Cosentino, all of Newburgh; granddaughter, Amelia Cosentino; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, October 9 in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 575 West Hillside Avenue, White Plains, NY.
