    Susan Rasmussen DiStefano - of Marlboro, NY, age 69, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends Tuesday October 27th, 2015, due to complications of cancer. She was born on July 13th, 1946 to Norman and Ursula Rasmussen in Brooklyn, NY. Sue graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, and continued to SUNY New Paltz where she received a Masters in Education. She was a beloved teacher in the Science Department at Newburgh Free Academy from 1969 to 1980. She established and operated E-Z Books accounting and bookkeeping services in Marlboro, NY for over twenty years. She was the office manager for several regional automotive retailers. She was the former administrative assistant, Deputy Treasurer, Treasurer of the Marlborough Fire District. She will be missed as the business administrator for The Simroe Rod Company.Sue leaves behind daughter Jayme Dimmick of Norristown, PA (husband David Dimmick), son Zachary DiStefano of Austin, TX, sisters Dale Mero (husband Tim Mero) and June Rasmussen both of CA and fiancée Ted Simroe of New Windsor, NY. Sue was predeceased by her son Scott Anthony DiStefano and her parents.Friends and relatives may call on Sunday November 1st 2015 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at DiDonato Funeral Services, 1290 Route 9W Marlboro, NY. A service of loving remembrance will be held on Monday November 2nd 2015 at 10:30am at Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh, NY.
