Vincent J. Gordon - Class of 1964

    Vincent J. Gordon, born September 15, 1946 in Cornwall, NY, passed from his earthly home on November 3, 2015. Vinny loved the Lord and was a great family man and friend to many. No one brought a bigger smile to his face than his son, Kevin. He was a member of Good Fellowship Dartball League and Monday Night Men Bible Study at Goodwill Church. He attended Grace Community Church and Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He volunteered at St. Patrick's Soup Kitchen and Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh. Vinny was retired from the Internal Revenue Service, Newburgh, as a Revenue Agent. He was also a proud graduate of Marist College. Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth (Thorne), at home; son, Kevin Charles Gordon; brother, Gene (Debbie) Gordon; sister, Marianne Laxton; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Jennie Nicoletti Gordon and his brother, Louis Gordon. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th at Goodwill Church Historic Sanctuary, 2135 Rt. 208, Montgomery, NY 12549. Family visitation will precede the service, from 12noon to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinny's name may be made to St. Patrick's Soup Kitchen, 55 Grand St., Newburgh, NY 12550, Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh, PO Box 2615, Newburgh, NY 12550 or Newburgh Ministries, PO Box 1449, Newburgh, NY 12550 Arrangements are under the direction of James F.
