Mildred Boice Schoonmaker - Class of 1950

  Mildred S "Millie" Boice Schoonmaker, 83, of Painted Post, N.Y., went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, in Painted Post, N.Y. Millie was the wife of the late Hart Schoonmaker, Jr. Mildred was born on Aug. 6, 1932, in Newburgh, N.Y., a daughter of Howard, Sr. and Sophie (Miller) Boice. She had been employed by St. Luke Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y. as radiology technician. Mildred enjoyed attending E. Lawrence Baptist Church, music, singing, and keeping in touch with friends and family. Millie is survived by two daughters and sons in-law, Lora (Steve) Dewey of Painted Post, N.Y., Susan (William) Dwyer of Gilford, N.H.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeff (Marcella) Schoonmaker of Gansevoort, N.Y., David Schoonmaker of Apex, N.C.; six grandchildren, Cahlan, Lauren, Adam, Keri, Michael, Nolan; and former daughter-in-law, Stephanie Schoonmaker of Raleigh, N.C. She was predeceased by three sisters, Joan, Audrey, Christine, and a brother, Howard Boice, Jr. A private graveside service will be held at East Lawrence Cemetery with Pastor Josh O'Neill officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lattingtown Christian Fellowship, 425 Old Indian Road, Milton, N.Y. 12547, Child Evangelism Fellowship, 16 Charleston St., Wellsboro, Pa. 16901, East Lawrence Baptist Church, 1139 E. Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, PA 16929, or the Resident Activity Fund at Absolut Care, 101 Creekside Drive, Painted Post, N.Y. 14870.
