      Robert Charles Brink, of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Monday December 7, 2015. He was 72. Son of the late Russell and Virginia (Palmer) Brink, he was born July 17, 1943 in Ellenville. Robert proudly served and was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard. He was a 50 year member, charter member, and past president of New Windsor Fire Dept., a member of the Benevolent Assn, active member and past president of Good Will Fire Dept., former social member of Cragsmoor Fire Dept., former member of Modena Fire Department, member of the O.C. Volunteer Firemen's Assn., and a member of the Hudson Valley Advisors Assn. He was previously employed by the New Windsor Police Dept, Rumsey Oil Co. and Miron Lumber. He also worked at many speedways as a flag man and an official, including Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, Accord Speedway in Accord, Moc-A-Tac Speedway in Hamlin, PA, Sullivan County Speedway, Kauneonga, and Bethel Motor Speedway all in White lake, NY. He is survived by his children: John Brink of Newburgh, Laura Manner (Mark) of Frostproof, FL., and Brian Brink (Rebecca) of Providence, NY; his Fiance Sandra Hawley and her children: Jonathon, Jason and E.J. Repko of Newburgh; sister-in-law Ethel Misner of Virginia; 7 grandchildren; and best friend and fellow firefighter Barry Marshall. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his first wife Maria Ferguson and his brother Richard Misner. Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Monday December 14 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a Firematic Service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Goodwill Fire Dept., 1 S. Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY 12550; or Quassaick Fire Dept., 275 Walsh Ave., New WIndsor, NY 12553
