  Jacqueline Hemingway Pritchard, age 74, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 6, 2015 at home. Born in Kingston, NY on March 26, 1941, she was the daughter of Stanton P. and Jean M. Hemingway [nee Lorentz]. Mrs. Pritchard is survived by her husband, Robert R. Pritchard; three children: Robert, Daniel and Anne; six grandchildren; and two sisters: Virginia Curl and Jean Zaebst. Mrs. Pritchard graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1959 and went on to earn a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Reading K-12 at the NY State University College of Education at New Paltz, NY. While living in Newburgh, NY, Mrs. Pritchard served on the Advisory Board of St. Luke's Hospital. She was a member of the Junior League and served as President of the Marlborough-on-Hudson Garden Club. Mrs. Pritchard taught elementary school in the Newburgh City School District and was a member of the Quassaick Chapter of the DAR. After she and her husband retired to Venice, FL, Mrs. Pritchard became a member of the Venice Quilters' Guild, the Venice Garden Club, and the Myakka Chapter of the DAR. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley Funeral Home, Venice, FL. Services and internment will be held at the convenience of the family.
