Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 16/Dec/2015 Harold Roberts Bell, Leesburg, Fla. retired from IBM in San Jose, Ca. in 1972 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, died Monday, November 25, 2002. He was 87. Born in Newburgh, he moved to Leesburg from San Jose, Ca., in 1976. He was a member of the Episcopalian church, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Bell was a Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. He served in the Navy in the 30's prior to World War II. He as an avid computer user and enjoyed playing the organ. Survivors include his daughter, Judith Burgess and her husband, Robert W., of East Orleans, Ma.; two grandchildren, Bruce R. Burgess and Megan L. Burgess; two great-grandsons, Bryan Bohaty and Wallace P. Burgess; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. William J. Esterbrook and Mrs. Arnold F. Esterbrook, both of Newburgh.
