Submitted by Pauline Rute Hall 1952 <Grammypgh@aol.com> on 17/Dec/2015 Anna Cooney Loeven of Newburgh N.Y. entered into rest Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001. She was 85. The daughter of the late Lawrence Francis andA Eva Herbison Cooney, she was born in Newburgh. Anna graduated from NFA in 1932. She worked for General Motors for 29 years, as well as Ira Conklin and Sons, Newburgh, and was a member of the Newburgh Garden Club. Survivors include one brother, James Cooney of Newburgh; and ten nieces and nephews, including Peggy McManus Moeser and Sharon McManus Baughman of Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Thomas Loeven; one brother, Lawrence Cooney, Jr; and one sister, Mary C. McManus. The family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at DiDonato-Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of DiDonato-Brooks Funeral Home, Newburgh. Replies to this post No replies yet |
