  Dorothy Ruth Smith Swenson of Cornwall, N.Y., a retired bookkeeper for Abbott & Mills Oil Company, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at The Cornwall Hospital. She was 87. The daughter of the late Alfrederick Smith and Esther Thompson Smith, she was born May 14, 1915, in Newburgh, N.Y. Dorothy graduated from N.F.A.She was the widow of G. William Swenson. She was a member of Cornwall Baptist Church in Cornwall, N.Y. Survivors include a son, James F. Swenson of Cornwall, N.Y. and one sister, Myrtle Haefliger. Also survived by one grandson and two granddaughters. She was predeceased by a son, Dean R. Swenson. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday, June 22, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday, June 23, at the funeral home. The Rev. James Bargfeldt will officiate. Burial will be in Cornwall Baptist Cemetery, Orrs Mill Rd., Cornwall, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornwall Baptist Church, 213 Main St., Cornwall, N.Y. 12518.
