He grew up in Newburgh, New York with a sister, Celia, and studied architecture at Pratt Institute. After graduating, he moved to Greenwich and founded Unistruct LTD Architects in 1975. His practice included residential and commercial buildings, and his contributions can be seen throughout Greenwich. Fred served on the Town of Greenwich Historic District Commission for ten years as a member and president. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kendra Mascioli, three children: Alison, Matthew, and Lauren, granddaughter Jenna, sister Celia (Vinny) Mooney, nephew Christopher (Rebecca), and niece Erin (Owen) Phipps. Brother in-law Ken (Brittany) Lahr, brother in kindred spirit Sam (Patti) Favata, and several cousins. In addition to his family, he maintained relationships with his fellow Pratt Institute friends. A service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016, 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church at 4 Riverside Ave. Riverside CT, 06078. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/greenwichtime/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=177263814#sthash.LskwDnhN.dpuf
