Margaret Anne Fleury Heroy  - Class of 1958

    Margaret Anne Fleury Heroy, a Lifetime area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh. She was 75 years old. The daughter of the late Francis & Sylvia (McDowell) Fleury, Margaret was born on July 25, 1940 in Newburgh, NY. She married John Patrick Heroy on September 19, 1965 in Newburgh. John predeceased Margaret on December 19, 2003. Friends and family would like to thank Kaplan Family Hospice and Vassar Brothers Hospital for their loving care & compassion. Dawn would like to thank her friends for all the love and kindness and many rides and days of fun and sunshine they provided tor Mom. Margaret is survived by her loving daughter, Dawn M. Heroy, of Newburgh; her best Friend, Patricia St. Mauro (also godmother to Dawn) of Pine Bush, NY; several nieces and nephews as well as cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, January 29 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 30, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of The Lake Chapel, Rte 52 & Lakeside Road, Newburgh. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s name to Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements under the care of Brooks Funeral Home.
