Francis Larry Wells - Class of 1955

    Frances Larry F. Wells, 79, of Barryville, NY, passed away on February 9, 2016. Larry was born in Newburgh, NY on November 28, 1936. He was the son of Marleah Crowell and Lawrence Wells. Larry was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1955 to 1959. He was a member of both the Highland Seniors and the Lumberland Seniors and played in the Caballeros Drummer Bugle Corp. He was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman. He had a warm and wonderful sense of humor which drew everyone towards him. He loved his family and entertained both his family and friends with a joke or two, sometimes the same ones over and over again. He is survived by the love of his life, Dolores Hauser of Barryville; her daughters: Deborah Szulewski and husband, William of Shohola, PA, and Stephanie Stilwell and husband, Paul of Lehighton, PA; grandsons: Brad Szulewski, Ryan and Matthew Stilwell; granddaughter, Sarah Henderson; brother-in-law, Bart Hauser and wife, Mary of Eatontown, NJ and numerous others who were like family to him. Memorial Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, February 13th at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home of Barryville, Inc., 3412 Route 97, Barryville NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Ambulance and the Lumberland Volunteer Ambulance, NY 12764.
