Thomas C. Woodhull - Class of 1964

      Thomas C. “Bullet” Woodhull, of the Town of Newburgh, a retired employee for IBM, East Fishkill and a life-long area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 69. Son of the late Thomas Scott and Emma (Callahan) Woodhull, he was born November, 30, 1946 in Newburgh, NY. Thomas graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1964. Thomas was proud to have served our country as a US Marine during the Vietnam War. He married Charlene (Romaine) Woodhull on February 4, 1978 in Newburgh. Charlene resides at home. In addition to being a Marine and throughout his retirement, Thomas served on the Newburgh City School Board for over twelve years, he was a member of Greater Newburgh Rotary, Newburgh Elks Lodge #247, American Legion Post 1420, Amvets Hudson Valley Post 826, a volunteer for Abraham’s Table and also Toys for Tots. In addition to his loving wife, Charlene, Thomas is survived by his loving children, Thomas Scott Woodhull and Helen R. Colon and her husband, Francisco, all of Newburgh, NY and many family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Monday, February 15, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 11am at Brooks Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at The Cemetery of The Highlands, Highland Mills, NY.
