MaryAnn Brand Vittorini - Class of 1961

        Maryann Brand Vittorini, of Newburgh, a Retired Executive Assistant for IBM and lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She was 72. The daughter of the late William and Ann (Hetling) Brand, she was born July 16, 1943 in Newburgh. Maryann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who kept the family’s Christmas Polish tradition of making periogies and nut bread alive, loved dancing, the Bee Gees, and enjoyed golf and tennis in her younger years. She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and SUNY at Delhi. Survivors include her children, Suzanne Vittorini Barki of Newburgh, David Vittorini of Montgomery, and William Vittorini Jr. of LaGrangeville; siblings, Frank and Angelina Brand of DeLand, FL and Donna and Jud Mackey of Hopewell Junction; grandchildren. Jesse Barki, Billy Vittorini, Anthony Vittorini and Alexandra Vittorini; nieces and nephews, Lissa Brand, Tracy and Joseph Liffey, Kristie Brand, Erin Mackey, Sean and Holly Mackey, Maura Vande Hey and Colleen Tilkens. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William Brand Jr. and nephew William Brand III. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday February 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 25 at the funeral home, with Fr. Bill Damroth officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, New Windsor.
