William
R. Ford, of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. He was 72.
Son of the late Robert and Caroline (Williams) Ford, he was born October 24,
1943 in Newburgh. William attended Newburgh schools and continued on to college
in his 70’s, and was very proud of his accomplishments. He will be remembered as
an amazing man who always brought a smile to everyone’s face, and will be dearly
missed. He is survived by his lifetime companion Mary Ann Jollie; his children,
Billie Jean Ford and William Ford Jr., both of Newburgh; siblings, Robert,
Keith, Arthur, and Frank Ford all of Newburgh, Forrest Ford of Maryland;
sisters, Shirley Chapman of Virginia and Dorothy of Maryland; grandchildren,
Ariana Griffin, Samara Griffin, Nahkeem Ford, William III, Legacy Ferrell and
Phoenix Ferrell; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he
was predeceased by Nona Fallen, Bruce Ford and James Ford. Visitation will be
held from 10 am – 12 pm on Monday, March 7 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney
Ave., Newburgh, followed by prayers and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, New
Windsor. May he rest in piece.. RIP
