"Red" Evangelisto a retired brick layer with Local #5, 1 Scobie Drive, Newburgh, NY and lifelong resident of the area died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home in Balmville, NY. He was 82 years old. The son of the late Ciro and Clorinda Falcone Evangelisto he was born on June 7, 1933. He was married to Laura A. Stigliano Evangelisto his wife of 53 years, 8 months. He is survived by his brother, Dom Evangelisto and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: George and Joseph Evangelisto and five sisters: Susan Pentz, Rose DeToro, Ida Scolaro, Margaret Terwilliger and Josephine Tuckosh. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middle Hope.
