Vivian Klein Fitts - Class of 1955

      Vivian Klein Fitts 79, of Beach Haven, NJ, formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed away on March 21, 2016 in Neptune, NJ after a short illness. Vivian graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1955. She also attended Orange County Community College in Middletown, NY and received her Associates Degree in Nursing. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse at St.Lukes Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Marvin Fitts, her children: Michael Fitts(Carole), Beth Bonsignore(Mark), Gail Nass(Mitchell) and Karen Daye(Pasquale DeGiorgio), her grandchildren: Dana Butera (John), Joshua Bonsignore, Zachary Nass, Melissa Fitts, Ryan Fitts, Katelin Cornman, Tyler Cornman(Megan), Julia Cornman, Pasquale DeGiorgio, Justine DeGiorgio and Gianna DeGiorgio, her great-grandchildren: Luca, Giancarlo and Viviana Butera , Thomas Zgrodek Jr. , and Mason Cornman. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Klein (Arlene) and special nieces and nephews. Vivian also leaves behind several lifelong dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents: Irving and Freida Klein, her brother, Gene Klein, and her niece, Stacey Klein. Vivian was the President of the Sisterhood and a Board Member at the JCC of Long Beach Island, NJ. She was a cornerstone of the congregation. She also enjoyed entertaining, cooking and baking. But her real passion was spending time with her loving family and friends. She will be in our hearts forever. Funeral Services will be held at The Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave. Manalapan, NJ 07726 on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 9am. The entombment will follow at The Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mrs. Fitts memory to the LBI Jewish Community Center Sisterhood at 2411 Long Beach Blvd in Spray Beach Blvd, Spray Beach, NJ 08008 or to IACKids at PO Box 16201 Rochester, NY 14616 or online at www.iackids.org/donate
